Ranger Equipment finds success with its new Teupen Access Platform dealership

Following its recent appointment as the sole UK agent for the Teupen range of tracked access platforms from Germany, Ranger Equipment of Chesterfield reports strong interest in the product and several machines sold, including six Leo 15GT models to tree surgeons and plant hirers.

This compact platform offers a maximum working height of 14.90m and up to 6.40 m of outreach. Unlike most of its competitors, this impressive outreach is available with an overall stabiliser width of only 2.65 m and with no reduction in the standard safe working load of 200 kg.

Powered by a choice of Honda 13 hp petrol engine or 2-cylinder Kubota diesel with the option of a 110 v or 230 v AC auxiliary electric motor for inside working, the highly flexible Leo 15GT is just 780 mm wide and 1.98 m high with the basket is removed, enabling it to pass through a standard doorway if required.

The machine also features a height and width adjustable rubber tracked undercarriage which provides additional ground clearance when required plus outstanding stability whether in the working position or traversing difficult ground conditions.

Commenting on the company's success with the Teupen models, Ranger Equipment's managing director Steve Hadfield said: "We see the Leo 15GT platform as a major selling unit in the UK and so to cope with the anticipated demand we have placed orders to ensure machines are available for immediate delivery from Spring next year."
