Teupen Access Platforms used for overnight cleaning of shopping
centre atrium
A pair of Teupen tracked access platforms on hire from Ranger
Rental of Chesterfield have
recently helped CSB Environmental
to tackle a difficult night time cleaning job at the Crystal Peaks
Shopping Centre in Sheffield.
Although CSB has its own truck mounted equipment to undertake
the majority of its high level cleaning and restoration contracts,
the job at the shopping centre involved working within the building
at heights of up to 23 m.
The self-propelled Teupen Leo 15GT and Leo 26T platforms, with
maximum working heights of 15 m and 26 m respectively, were easily
able to track into position, the smaller machine at first floor
level, to enable CSB's team to clean all the glass and steelwork
within a large atrium area in readiness for the installation
of Christmas decorations.
For the contractor's complete peace of mind, Ranger provided
overnight technical support 'on call' in the event of any problems
which, fortunately, did not materialise.
Commenting on the use of the German tracked platforms, CSB's director Simon Bailey said: "This is the first time we have used Teupen equipment and I have to say both machines performed faultlessly and enabled us to reach some difficult areas with great ease thanks to their extensive working envelopes."
