Selecting The Spiderlift Company as your supplier is only half
of the story. After Sales support is of paramount importance
and is an area of our business that is constantly under review.
As the population of Teupen Spiderlifts continually grows in the
UK, so does our infrastructure for service, parts, technical support
and training.
Service
Our Service Engineers are trained to a high standard by Teupen
Maschinenbau GmbH and are on hand to support customers with service
and technical help. We can provide on site service via one of
our fully stocked service vans, or within our comprehensive workshops.
Under the current Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations
(LOLER) Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) must receive
a thorough inspection by a competent person every 6 months.
Proof of competence for the inspecting engineer is of paramount
importance. Our inspecting engineers have concluded a full assessment
under the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Competent
Assessed Persons Programme (CAP).
Harness Inspection
The use of suitable full body harness and fall restraint lanyard
is highly recommended by the HSE and IPAF when using boom type MEWPs
nowadays. Our inspecting engineers are trained and qualified to
carry out ‘inspection by competent persons’ of these
items of PPE.
With a significant investment in parts stockholding in the UK,
we can support your investment in Teupen Spiderlifts. We have a
comprehensive supply of parts available for all models, for next
day delivery if required.
Training in the use of mechanical equipment is of key importance
nowadays and is a requirement of the Provision and Use of Work
Equipment Regulations (PUWER). Indeed many worksites will not allow
the use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) without sufficient
proof of formal training.
One of the most widely recognized standards for MEWP training is
accredited by the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). Our instructors are qualified to IPAF standards and we offer both Operator and Demonstrator Training Courses.
OPERATOR TRAINING is of one day duration and is intended to train
the operator in the safe use of MEWPs. This is the standard acceptable
on most worksites.
DEMONSTRATOR TRAINING requires an extra day in addition to the
Operator course. This is intended for those involved in handing
over a MEWP to an already trained Operator. This training is vital
for hire companies involved in handing equipment over to their customers.
BESPOKE TRAINING COURSES can also be tailored to your requirements. These include specific product training, in-house service and fault finding courses.
