Why Use A Spiderlift?
Teupen Spiderlifts are narrow tracked access platforms that can work in areas that other cherry pickers can not.
The Concept
The term ‘Spiderlift’ originates from the shape of the stabilisers or outriggers used, which are shaped like a spider’s leg. This ‘spider’ stabiliser design enables the machine to be folded down to very narrow widths. An added benefit is the increased amount of lift, thus enabling leveling on very uneven and sloping surfaces.
The Tracked Chassis is designed to spread the load of the machine across a larger are than with wheels, thus reducing the ground bearing pressure.
Teupen Spiderlifts exert an especially low surface load whilst setup in their working position. Modern architecture and floor designs dictate that typical floor surface loadings must not exceed 5kN/m². Teupen Spiderlifts generate surface loadings significantly lower than this.
